Las Vegas is as dynamic a news market as anywhere in the country, and the Review-Journal is the area’s dominant news source. Southern Nevada is home to about 2.3 million people, plus up to 200,000 visitors on any given day. It is a diverse metro area with a vibrant downtown and cultural scene, and it’s a half-day drive or less to some of the West’s most spectacular outdoor recreation and national parks. We are looking for a part time Studio Tech/MMJ who will shoot and edit video programming segments for reviewjournal.com. This position is an integral part of a new digital spanish streaming newscast from the largest newsroom in the state of Nevada. We need you to generate ideas for compelling visuals, to work with reporters and video team members on 7@7 segments. Must be able to run live streams and live reports. Studio tech/MMJ will assist in the creation of a variety of content including but not limited to the following: mini-documentaries, investigative reports, commercial production, live studio and field production, as well as breaking news coverage. Position also requires ability to operate Studio Tricaster, LiveU technology, Bit Central Fuel, and properly set up lighting and studio set backdrops for live and taped productions. At times, will serve as producer for segments. Prepares live and on demand video content from studio and field as designated as well as accompanying graphics. Studio tech/MMJ will also record, edit, and upload podcasts as designated.
