General Assignment Reporter

The Las Vegas Sun and Greenspun Media Group are seeking a General Assignment Reporter. We are looking for candidates with the flexibility to report on multiple coverage areas, from the casino industry to the school system to health care. We want someone who is as comfortable covering a city council meeting as they are interviewing state and national political figures. This is a job for an experienced, energetic reporter who will become one of the most widely followed journalists in our market. If something significant happens in Las Vegas, you’ll have a chance to report on it. Your work will also appear in Las Vegas Weekly, the city’s leading news, arts, entertainment and culture publication. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience covering business or news in a midsize city or large metro area, a strong grasp of social media and the ability to produce content ranging from breaking news to long-form narratives.
