Reporter and Copy Editor

The Leader is looking for a full-time reporter and copy editor. 

Job duties include: 

Attend school board meetings and/or municipal and other governmental meetings and write stories based on news that happens at those meetings. 
Attend community events and write stories about those. 
Scout out and write news briefs, news stories and feature stories. 
Contact local law enforcement and fire agencies for stories about crime, fires, accidents, etc. and write stories about those incidents. 
Write copy for website and social media. 
Take photos and/or videos at meetings and other events for print, website and social media. 
Edit news stories, feature stories and other items for print, website and social media.
