Multimedia Editor

Lee Enterprises’ Niche Publications team is currently seeking a creative, self-motivated and innovative multifaceted journalist to create, edit and produce elevated and stylized video and written content for its robust magazine group, which includes Feast Magazine, Ladue News, St. Louis Best Bridal, and ABODE magazine.

The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, a passion for community journalism, and the ability to adapt seamlessly to pitch and produce content for each publication’s individual voice and brand. This position will report to the editor-in-chief of Niche Publications and will be responsible for collaborating with the editors of each publication to craft high quality digital storytelling. Must have familiarity working with ADOBE Creative Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media Communications or related field and at least three years of progressive experience in culinary/lifestyle magazine editing and content development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Demonstrated experience in both magazine editing and video production
Understanding of and experience in digital and social media
Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects
Desire to connect with the local community and develop strong working relationships with contributors
Command of editorial best practices and AP style
Working knowledge of ADOBE Creative Suite and the ability to work within a CMS
Passion for St. Louis metro area food, business and culture
