The Los Angeles, Costa Mesa or New York office is seeking a Communications Manager with law firm experience. The primary responsibilities of this position include handling work in the following areas:
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Managing press relations for the firm – developing and maintaining relationships with journalists in order to introduce partners as future sources and content providers.
Identifying, developing, and pitching stories externally to the press aimed at promoting the firm and its lawyers
Drafting and distributing press releases to media outlets, including local and national legal and business press.
CONTENT MARKETING
Editing lawyer-written client alerts and blog posts, and offering guidance on best practices for successful content marketing.
Managing the firm’s blogs to ensure consistent engagement from both contributing lawyers and their readership.
Facilitate and solicit the implementation of future blogs and other thought leadership efforts on the part of the firm’s lawyers
Writing copy for website posts and directing tone and messaging for website content.
Managing the firm’s social media presence, including writing copy for posts and developing strategy for effective social media marketing.
Managing marketing assistants who assist with the maintenance of the firm’s social media accounts.
Tracking and reporting on content marketing metrics, especially as related to client alerts and social media posts.
