Overview of Role

This is a great opportunity to work for LexisNexis, a global organisation that provides world-class content and leading-edge technology and software tools, allowing our customers to quickly find the answers they are searching for, and to advance the rule of law.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure continuous improvement and commercial success of a suite of online practice area modules developed for the legal market for our popular Practical Guidance product, which is Australia’s most established and trusted ‘how-to’ of legal practice. The role will involve managing a team of Legal Writers preparing and maintaining practically-focused content and practical resources. It will also involve working with external specialist authors to create new materials and also provide support to Relationship Managers to help build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.

Location and nature of role

This role is a full-time permanent one but might also suit someone interested in 4.5 days per week. Regular in-office time is preferable, either Sydney or Melbourne-based, but there is also opportunity to work flexibly and from home. With strong experience as a practising lawyer and leading teams, you will have a solid understanding of the practical processes relevant to legal teams and corporate professionals.

Specifically, you will come with:

3+ years PQE

Experience in an Australian legal practice role, ideally in commercial practice areas

Experience in team leadership and people management

Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills

Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with a range of diverse clients and local and international stakeholders

Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
