At The Mercury, this includes both Kansas State University and the local school district, USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden. Manhattan is a vibrant college town of 56,000 in the scenic Flint Hills. It has a friendly, small-town atmosphere with big-city amenities like cultural events and local restaurants. Tuttle Creek Lake and Konza Prairie wildlife preserve provide lots of opportunities for outdoor recreation. The Mercury daily paper that has been family owned for more than a century.
