Content Writer (Lottery)

We’re seeking an experienced writer to form part of our exciting and talented content team. You’ll be responsible for researching and creating accurate, informative, and engaging news content for our industry-leading consumer lottery site. We take simple lottery results and turn them into something intriguing by looking at the stories behind them.

Responsibilities

Craft informative, authoritative, engaging, and captivating content across news, features, and opinion pieces; interviews, reviews, and other content types focus on the North American lottery market.
Collaborate closely with your colleagues to brainstorm, research, propose, and formulate solid content strategies.
Review, fact check, proofread, and edit, ensuring grammatical accuracy, precision, and authority.
Ensure your output aligns with our editorial standards.
Cultivate relationships with industry peers, leaders, lottery executives, game companies, and state authorities.
Conduct comprehensive research on pertinent lottery subjects and keep abreast of the latest lottery industry trends.
Develop your unique style, voice, and tone to help maintain our strong profile in the North American Lottery sector.
Stay informed about industry trends, casino games, and regulatory changes to provide accurate and up-to-date information. Review and enhance content to ensure it conforms to our editorial guidelines regarding clarity, grammar, and accuracy.

Requirements

Proven capability to deliver a diverse range of content, such as long and short form, posts, evergreen, event reportage, reviews, interviews and press releases.
Effortlessly work to deadlines while maintaining quality.
Ideally, proven expertise and experience in creating and publishing written content within the gambling, lottery or casino industry.
Excellent understanding of SEO principles such as sculpting compelling H1, page titles etc.
The ability to consistently strike a perfect balance between authoritative, informative, engaging, and functional content - adhering to E.A.T. principles.
Ability to meticulously review and edit content to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and quality are consistently met.
Experience in HTML or Markdown would be beneficial.
An amiable yet assertive and confident approach to seeking out and conducting interviews, comment or research.
