The ideal candidate will create, manage and produce content that will hit all the major talking points using their expertise of analytics, search metrics and predicting trends.
As well as the ability to spot stories and trends, suitable candidates will be capable writers and proactive when it comes to optimising existing evergreen content. Applicants will also track and manage traffic data under the Senior SEO Reporter and be comfortable blogging on live sport and breaking news.
Applicants will have a keen interest in SEO news and how algorithm changing can affect best practice, and work on developing long-term content plans around major events.

Requirements include:
· A comprehensive knowledge of a range of sports
· Ability to write and produce clean, accurate content around a wide variety of sports
· An ability to produce and manage content plans while working with other teams
· Best use of analytics tools, specifically Google Trends, both in planning and production
· Understanding of best SEO practices
· An ability to react to breaking news
· Being proactive in suggesting and developing new ideas around topics and types of content
· Confidence to advise staff of best optimisation practises
· Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced 24/7 sports news environment
· Flexibility regarding shift patterns
· Out of hours availability in breaking news scenarios and a high level of adaptability are essential
· Understanding of legal covenants such as the UK Editors’ Code of Practice
