Marie Claire is looking for a Senior Culture Editor who will oversee television, film, music, books, art, and internet/zeitgeist coverage online and in print.
What You'll Be Doing...
Write and/or assign and edit three pieces of content each day, ensuring a mix of quick takes, news posts, reported stories, and packages.
Plan and coordinate Marie Claire’s daily, weekly, and monthly culture coverage with a strategy to ensure traffic growth.
Manage culture SEO strategy by writing and or/assigning and editing news stories and long lead explainers.
Manage a contributing editor, along with a stable of freelance writers.
Develop editorial series and franchises.
Experience That Will Put You Ahead Of The Curve...
You have at least 5 years of relevant post-grad digital editorial experience.
You have an endless appetite for all things entertainment and culture and a discerning eye for internet zeitgeist and trends.
You are a strong editor and writer who delivers clean, concise, and factually correct copy on deadline.
You have good judgment as to what works to drive audience impact and engagement and a thorough understanding of SEO terms, data, and strategy.
You are a strategic thinker with a strong voice and creative packaging ideas.
