SALARY: $50,000 - $80,000 base salary
The Role
As a Marketing Associate, you will serve as a marketing generalist supporting and learning from the marketing team, with a specific focus on content and event management. You will help the marketing team stay organized and connected internally while also increasing the team's capacity to scale marketing efforts. Your impact will be far reaching in this role and contribute to increasing brand awareness and product familiarity, while also amplifying lead generation and conversion efforts. Some examples of key impacts would include supporting the development of product education through blog posts and increasing Canoe's reach by assisting at sponsored or Canoe-hosted events.
What You’ll Do
Organize marketing operations: Keep marketing calendars up to date and build up relevant action items/workflows in Asana to support tasks across the marketing team, including getting approval and taking action where relevant
Coordinate content creation and distribution: Liaise with our PR firm and internal stakeholders to maintain communications calendar; Research, pitch, and develop new content for Canoe including supporting existing blog/content cadences and owning a monthly blog cadence; Support social media content creation and publication for Canoe's social power users
Manage event logistics: Prepare, track, and follow up on the logistics of all sponsored and hosted events, including coordinating swag orders/shipments and sending reminders and information to attendees
Support design requests: Create new designs and support rebranding efforts; includes converting older documents, creating new slides or video clips, and applying new templates to create social posts or website images
Own broader monthly marketing initiatives: Manage monthly initiatives, including the marketing newsletter and social media content series
Collaboration: Work regularly with marketing, partnerships, business development, sales, client success, and product teams; collaborate with vendors for swag orders, event coordinators for sponsorships, and restaurant managers for Canoe-hosted events
What We’re Looking For
At least one year of experience working in a generalist marketing role
Previous exposure to finance, financial services, or technology (including internship, course work, or previous work experience)
Strong communication and writing/editing skills
Strong organization skills
Strong eye for design and attention to detail
Ability to be resourceful and assertive
Experience using marketing automation tools (Hubspot) and design platforms (Canva) highly preferred
Experience using LinkedIn from a corporate account highly preferred
