The Marketing & Communications role involves working closely with our marketing, design, and product teams to oversee/coordinate marketing activities, communicate offerings, build brand identity, execute social media management, shape the personality of new projects, and more. This position offers a unique amount of variety and potential within a team of bright, highly collaborative individuals.

In the Marketing & Communications position, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing effective marketing strategies, fostering brand awareness, and enhancing communication efforts across various channels. Your creativity, organization, strategic thinking, and excellent written and verbal communication skills will contribute to the success of our organization and help drive growth and engagement for clients, as well as Fortuna as a whole. Duties/Responsibilities

Oversee and develop marketing and advertising concepts to grow brand(s).
Collaborate with the various teams to create comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's objectives and target audience.
Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities for promotion and growth.
Develop compelling and engaging marketing content, including but not limited to blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, website copy, blog copy and marketing collateral. Ensure the content reflects the brand's voice and resonates with the target audience.
Integrate with all Fortuna teams to achieve the best possible branding, identity, marketing, and operational results for client businesses.
Communicate with clients to identify needs and motivate interest in Fortuna packages.
Collaborate with internal teams (design, sales, product) to develop strategic initiatives.
Manage and optimize digital marketing campaigns, including social media marketing, advertising, email marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO). Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize results.
Uphold and enhance Fortuna’s brand as well as clients’ brand identity across all marketing and communication channels. Ensure consistency in messaging, design, and tone to reinforce brand recognition and reputation.
Oversee the use of content scheduling tools to prepare a robust calendar of internal and client published content.
Conduct market research and gather customer insights to better understand consumer needs and preferences. Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
Utilize marketing analytics tools to track and measure the performance of marketing initiatives. Generate regular reports to evaluate the success of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Lead or assist with the development of basic restaurant/coffee shop websites and landing pages.
Create promotional and informational copy for a wide variety of products and services.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred
Web development knowledge a plus
Experience with graphic design tools a plus
Strong drive to test new ideas, take initiative and explore new solutions
Strong knowledge of social media platforms, marketing tools, and related software preferred
Familiarity with SEO strategies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Prioritization, organization, and project management skills
Analytical skills and capability to analyze data
Ability to work both individually and collaboratively
Ability to absorb and reproduce client/brand identity and voice
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Loving coffee or coffee knowledge is a PLUS!
