Road to Hire is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in developing and executing our marketing and communications initiatives. This dynamic manager-level role will help drive strategy and oversee comprehensive, cross-functional project work.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Manager of Marketing & Communications will strategize and guide the execution of communications, website, and public relations messages and collateral to consistently articulate Road to Hire’s mission. The Manager of Marketing & Communications will work closely with program leadership across the organization as the communications partner on a variety of strategic initiatives to advance the programs of R2H.

This is also a hybrid role based out of our South Charlotte office. The team is in the office weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
What You’ll Do

Marketing Strategy, Project Management, and Team Leadership

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and support.
Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email marketing, and events.
Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
Manage the Marketing & Communications Associate, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the effective execution of their respective responsibilities.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented environment within the marketing and communications team.

Internal and External Communications

Manage and contribute to the creation of engaging and impactful content across various platforms, including social media, email campaigns, development materials, various program collateral, and the annual Road to Hire Impact Report.
In partnership with the VP of MarComms, lead the development and production of Road to Hire's annual Impact Report, highlighting the organization's achievements, impact, and financials.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather content, conduct interviews, and develop compelling narratives.
Write and edit engaging content for various platforms, including website, social media, email newsletters, and print materials.
Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and effectively communicates Road to Hire's mission and impact.
Oversee the organization's digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, SEM, and social media advertising.
Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging digital marketing and communications trends.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or 4+ years of marketing experience with a strong track record of success
A background in writing and developing content for nonprofit and/or education organizations
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills and ability to develop marketing materials for fundraising and/or development and donor relations
Highly collaborative style; experience developing and implementing communications strategies
Strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently
Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for using data and real-life narratives to compel action and support
Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to manage by influence
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and analytics
Proficiency in using marketing automation tools, CMS platforms, Hubspot or similar programs, and design software
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to quickly build trust with a wide variety of constituents
Desire to work hands-on in a performance-based, analytically-driven, and fast-paced environment while displaying confidence and a professional presence
Eager to challenge assumptions, build, test and learn

Compensation

Cash Compensation Range: $75,000-$80,000*
*Note actual salary is based on qualifications and experience.
