Marketing Editor
Location: WFH friendly in these markets: Santa Fe, New Mexico; Las Vegas, Nevada; Denver, Colorado; Grapevine/Houston, Texas.
Compensation: The compensation for this role is $56,800 to $81,600. Compensation varies based on location and experience.

As the Editor for the Marketing Production team, you are one of our chief storytellers, you live and breathe modern social content and editing techniques and you have a passion for making! You’ll spend your days working in partnership with the Director of Production, Producers, Marketing Creatives, Social Media Managers, and Exhibition Marketing team(s) to craft captivating, video and social content that lure viewers into the Meow Wolf multiverse. You’ll need to tap into your creative problem solving skills to balance marketing needs with making entertaining and fun-to-watch video content on traditional media, event spaces, and social media platforms.
As an essential part of the Marketing Production team you will be involved with the entire post-production process not limited to the concept/design, edit, and delivery of all sorts of video projects. We’d love it if your editing experience includes Adobe Suite (After Effects, Premiere, etc.). Experience with motion graphics, 3D animation, motion graphics, or compositing are a major plus. Your personal and/or professional portfolio demonstrates your ability to tell stories and commercial editorial in both longer form videos and your social savviness - video projects will span both needs - from higher production quality film like artist story features or cinematic style videos of our exhibitions to team culture videos to native Tik Tok content. You demonstrate best practices in editorial for advertising and marketing.
How you will do it…
Work closely with the Director of Production, Producers, and Exhibition Content team (including social media managers) to satisfy post-production needs for Meow Wolf Marketing projects.
Shape our creative editorial, visual effects compositing, motion graphics, and animation of media content as required using a variety of industry-standard tools, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Audition, and Media Encoder.
Support and help establish a post-production workflow and pipeline guidelines to edit and deliver final content in required formats for Meow Wolf Marketing.
Communicate with all relevant departments and stakeholders.
Ensure technical quality of the end product.
Edit and deliver all content on time and on budget.
Collaborate with other team members to maintain a vibrant and cohesive production process and environment.
Oversee the security, operation, and maintenance of equipment and media utilized in Meow Wolf Marketing’s production workflow.
Perform additional duties as directed or required.
Be an active participant in the pre production process prior - demonstrate an ability to storyboard or creative animatics in collaboration with creative teams and producers.
To be successful in this role…
Must have proficiency in all phases of post-production and editing with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience
Background in both commercial, artistic, social forms of editing.
A thorough knowledge of cinematic language and narrative structure
Self-motivated, self-managing, and patient with yourself and others
Must be receptive to creative direction and perform well within a team environment
Experience being part of a team of interdisciplinary people
Must be able to adhere to tight schedules with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
