Medium Rare Content Agency is seeking a full-time Chief Subeditor to work across Officeworks content, including print, digital, and social. Reporting to the Editor, you will be responsible for maintaining accuracy across all platforms, consistent with the brand's profile and ToV. In addition, you will assist in managing workflows and production schedules so that deadlines are met.
Responsibilities
Subedits, fact-checks, and ensures copy adheres to style, tone, and reflects best practice for the channel (print, digital, social).
Copyedits, SEO- and top-edits as required.
Understands SEO principles and how they are applied to digital content.
Liaises with contributors to fact-check content.
Checks content at various stages, inputting relevant changes where required.
Collaborates with content peers on quality, data-driven content ideas that meet Officeworks business priorities.
Audits existing content for quality and timeliness.
Writes heads, intros, and captions that are consistently appropriate and creative.
Copy-fits layouts.
Meets deadlines and supports the team to manage the production & workflow process.
Develops and maintains productive internal and external relationships and networks that facilitate the achievement of work-related objectives.
Who are you?
Proven experience in digital content creation, with demonstrable commissioning, writing, and editing skills.
Deep understanding of SEO principles and how to structure content for SEO.
Understanding of various platforms and channels, and the ability to target content to specific channels.
Seasoned editorial eye and the ability to generate engaging content ideas across a range of topics.
Experience with clients or stakeholder management.
Proficiency with a range of SEO and analytics tools, including, but not limited to, BuzzSUMO, SEMRush, Google Trends, and Adobe Analytics.
Strong working knowledge of HTML and various CMS.
Execellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
