General Assignment Reporter

Mid-Valley Media in the heart of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley, seeks a general assignment reporter. If you love finding news that matters to hometown readers, we'd like to hear from you. Reporters cover all sorts of different stories, from breaking news to in-depth stories that examine important issues in the community. Writing for the Corvallis Gazette-Times, Albany Democrat-Herald and Lebanon Express, we'll consider both experienced and entry-level applicants, as long as you're dedicated to writing news that connects with readers.

As part of our ambitious staff, you'll hustle to break news on our web and mobile platforms, while pursuing insightful, high-impact enterprise. You'll need an inquisitive mind, sharp writing skills and an appreciation for life in a small college town. Photo and social media skills would be a plus. The typical work week likely will include a weekend shift.
