As a part-time Writer, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the execution of our editorial vision which involves: The ability to write about all major sports topics quickly and accurately, write knowledgeably about sports betting, follow content strategy, and create pieces of opinion and analysis for a team of editors. Articles will range from 350-600 words depending on the type of article and will cover all major sports.
What You'll Do:
Write 8-10 betting stories daily
Research matchups and players to find analytics that support betting opinions
Learn the CMS to submit content
This position has an expected range of $15.50 - $16.50 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on skills and experience. This is a part-time position and will be 25 hours per week and is expected to work weekday mornings with the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
What You Have:
1-2 years of sports writing and/or sports betting writing experience
Ability to quickly produce clean and interesting analysis on a variety of trending/viral topics
Ability to support arguments with stats and facts, not just opinion
Passion for and strong knowledge of all major professional sports in the United States
Able to closely follow direction and style
Strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask at a fast pace
Motivated, well organized and proactive team player
Ability to work weekday mornings with the flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
