The Role

The graduate journalist will work with our HR Leader editorial team to produce news and feature-length articles.

You will also work with departments across the wider business, including our partnerships, digital, AV, production and events team.

Where appropriate, there will also be the opportunity to attend industry events, as well as any staff events and training.

The Graduate

You will have already completed or be undertaking tertiary qualifications in journalism or equivalent. Some experience in media would be desirable.

You will:
Have a passion for finding and telling stories, and exploring issues and how they affect people

Demonstrate a strong interest in news and information sharing
Enjoy meeting and feel comfortable talking to people from a variety of backgrounds
Have well-developed research and writing skills
Have excellent communication and presentation skills
Be able to juggle multiple tasks
Have the ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team, and be willing to take direction and constructive feedback

File great copy at or before the deadline which addresses editor expectations and needs.
Produce daily bulletins.
Regularly propose editorial ideas, news angles and feature suggestions.
You will learn the ropes of the podcasts
Coordinate logistics and transcription of recordings.
Build a personal network of professional contacts and sources for news
Attend relevant industry events, promoting the brand and sourcing new sources and editorial content.
