More Perfect Union is an advocacy and journalism organization with a mission to build power for the working class. We cover politics, policy, labor, business, and economics news through a class lens, and we pair our reporting with activism to help working people win policy fights. Launched in February 2021, More Perfect Union’s coverage has garnered over 100 million video views and hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. We’re hiring a social news producer to lead our real-time news coverage on social media, especially on Twitter. Our social accounts are already powerful tools for advancing our original video reporting. We’re looking for a news junkie with exceptional writing and research skills to expand their scope — to turn our social accounts (especially Twitter) into hubs for breaking news and emerging scoops, studies, polls, TV clips, viral videos, etc., relevant to our mission.
