Responsibilities:
- Developing strong working relationships with relevant business/financial and trade media across various channels.-
- Pursuing proactive press and broadcast opportunities tying back to MUFG’s wholesale banking priorities in the U.S.
- Partnering closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders across the business and Corporate Communications to help drive internal and external communications priorities for the wholesale banking business.
- Playing a key role in executing strategic internal and external communications initiatives in support of business priorities.
- Contributing to the bank’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) communications plan, helping drive their initiatives forward.
- Collaborating with local business partners and communications colleagues across the globe to share best practices and align strategies.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in corporate communications or journalism within the financial services industry and/or agency.
- Although not necessary, understanding of the investment banking and sales & trading industry, capital markets and issues facing institutional investors would be a plus.
- Interest in environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors as they relate to capital markets and investment banking.
- Exhibit ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
- Ability to develop close relationships with influential journalists and media specializing in financial markets, including online and broadcast outlets.
- A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a proactive, self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
