i45NOW is the primary stringer content provider for all Houston TV news. Your quality work will be featured in the nation’s sixth-largest TV market and on i45NOW’s platform.
i45NOW news coverage is hyperlocal and includes breaking news, community, feature stories, and limited governmental meeting coverage.
i45NOW encourages its DMVJs to find compelling and human-interest stories on their own that appeal to the DMVJ's interests and make compelling content for the local audience.
The coverage area stretches from Johnson Space Center/Clear Lake Area to Galveston and from Kemah/Seabrook to the east to Friendswood the West. We are expanding to Pearland, Alvin and Manvel communities by summer 2025.
Contract (1099) pay is based on experience as a digital or TV news MMJ journalist. A fuel stipend will be provided.
Must have a clean criminal record, be a registered voter in Galveston, Brazoria, or Harris County, and have reliable transportation.
Former military, law enforcement, fire service, or EMS encouraged to apply. We will train those without TV or journalism experience who have first responder service.
