The Editor will have ownership of The Eco Experts brand strategy and be accountable for brand development, organic traffic growth and commercial performance.

Working closely with the divisional MDs and Content Director to agree business goals and performance targets, the Editor will set the strategy for their brand and ensure this is delivered with a view to increasing organic search traffic and revenue.

Our Team

The Brands team is responsible for growing the organic performance of our brands such as The Eco Experts, Expert Market, Startups, Tech.co and Website Builder Expert.

The department consists of:

Content team - responsible for creating and delivering a high-quality content strategy that meets organic traffic and conversion targets, and delivers a trusted and unique brand experience.
Audience team - responsible for delivering audience development strategies that grow the reach and visibility of MVF’s brands. The team comprises SEO and Campaigns (link acquisition) teams.
The Insight team - responsible for conducting in-depth research into key subject areas and target audiences, with the aim of building brand authority and trustworthiness as well as key client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Own and drive the content strategy for The Eco Experts. Devise a brand strategy to achieve or exceed business targets.
Own the commercial performance of the site and ensure targets are hit.
Have ownership of the website and build a roadmap with functional teams (SEO, CRO & Tech) outlining initiatives to deliver strategy via key milestones.
Communicate roadmap & strategy to key stakeholders.
Use data from Google Analytics and keyword research and tracking tools to develop the content strategy.
Create and commission briefs for new articles, updates and re-writes for the content team to deliver.
Present regular updates on performance.
Submit initiatives and timelines to functional teams (SEO, CRO & Tech) to ensure adequate resource allocation.
Monitor performance and progress of initiatives.
Coordinate brand and functional team to ensure efficient workflow delivery.
Drive momentum on projects and ensure clear communication between all contributors.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of industry niche and vertical landscape, trends and market forces.
Work with MDs, Commercial Heads and key clients to build customer success into strategy.
Work with the Design teams to create new innovative page designs that improve user experience and have a positive impact on the website’s engagement metrics.
Act as the Product Owner for the Eco Experts and Movehub brand.
Oversee the maintenance of the Movehub website.

Our Ideal MVFer:

Highly commercially astute
Proven content strategy experience, with significant time in a leadership role
Proven track record of developing innovative original content
Proven experience managing a website and growing organic traffic and revenue
Deep understanding of many types of content - product reviews, how to guides, breaking news, features, investigative, trends etc.
A good understanding of how organic search and social media work
Proven history of working collaboratively - and successfully - across departments, including Product & Tech, Data, Sales, Marketing, Outreach & PR
Acting as a brand evangelist who understands the mission and core values of MVF and is able to represent its sites across TV, digital, radio, and other public forums
Ability to interpret data, audience insights and analytics to inform coverage decisions and meet goals
Highly driven and motivated
