Salary: Circa £34,000

As a Copywriter in the Member Marketing Communications team, you will play a key role in the creative delivery of our customer communications across our one-to-one channels.

You will need to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team to help deliver compelling communications that are on brand, on brief and create a positive impact on our customers and our business.

This role will primarily support the Marketing Manager and Consultant on smaller scale projects, across different product areas and brand proof points. Working directly with the team to develop copy that supports our aim of creating highly personalised customer experiences and market leading marketing communications.

It is expected that you’ll spend time at our core sites at least two days per week (at either our London/Swindon or Bournemouth hub) collaborating with teams face to face, as well as virtually. And whilst you’ll have contracted hours, we’re always happy to support flexible working wherever we can. We will always strive to find a way that works for everyone.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working in a team that has accountability for of the creation and delivery of customer marketing communications. Involved from the initial briefing you’ll work as part of a team to understand the overarching objectives and customer need to deliver high quality copy for our customer communications. You will help shape and create compelling, effective messaging across a variety of direct marketing channels including, direct mail, emails, digital prompts in app and internet bank, home and exit pages.

You will be working with colleagues in the team to deliver a compelling communication, but also have a broader understanding of the brief, considering testing and personalisation opportunities to drive best customer experience.

You will need to collaborate with our wider brand team to understand our tone of voice and be a guardian of this, whilst delivering impactful copy that is on brief.

You will be able to work in an agile way, making quick changes to copy as needed to ensure it is fully compliant. Whilst working hard to simplify the complex, using credible language and insight to optimise customer comm's and journeys.

About you

We’re looking for somebody who has;

· - Two to three years copywriting experience, and preferably for clients within the banking or financial services sectors, and within direct marketing

· - A good track record in delivering excellent writing, demonstrated through your portfolio (please submit 2 – 3 examples of you portfolio with your CV)

· - Good commercial awareness, strategic thinking and an ability to deliver customer-focused copy

· - Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, as well as on your own

· - Good time management and work planning skills

· - A curious, positive, creative mind that’s always looking for new ways to deliver better digital experiences

· - A natural storytelling ability, essential for creating compelling narratives

· - Good people skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to colleagues

· - Degree or equivalent in English or a humanities subject preferred but not essential
