Responsibilities
Job Description
Responsible for reporting, writing, and publishing content on the website, and app
Cover breaking news, sends alerts, and gather information for further development
Handle resourcefully multiple editorial tasks in a breaking news environment
Reporting, writing, editing, and producing original stories focused on the Hispanic communities
Generates a wide variety of story ideas, research, and set up the content and interviews for a TV fast channel, when needed
Assist in editing stories produced by other team members, when needed
Work closely with other members of the TV legacy team, when needed
Works under the direct supervision of the Editorial Manager and the Editorial Director
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a newsroom
Minimum 3 years of experience as an online journalist
Minimum 3 years of experience as a reporter covering US Hispanic communities
Strong written and verbal communication in Spanish
Experience managing digital tools, including social media platforms and CMS
This is a project/limited term position, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
