What’s the role?

Focus on publishing sports content to maximize audience growth in line with the company's digital Stay and Pay goals.

Ensure you maximize both audience and commercial return.

Take charge of the production staff responsible for amplifying, socializing, and producing content in the NSN and CODE Sports matrix.

Report to the National Sports Editor.

Collaborate with key NCA stakeholders to deliver top-notch sports coverage, retain existing audiences, attract new subscribers, and add value for current customers.

Key aims: Grow digital subscription acquisition, drive retention and premium editorial breaches, distribute journalism through social media and app alerts, and reach new audiences on existing or emerging social media channels.

Collaborate with NSN newsroom editors and CODE Sports in planning and daily publishing.

Attend and brief stakeholders in conferences and meetings as needed.

Represent NCA Sport at external meetings with stakeholders as required.

Manage staff, rosters, and leave liability.

Apply the NSN audience-first and data-led digital subscription acquisition and retention/engagement growth strategy.

Use data and analytics to inform and drive outcomes aligned with the company’s "Stay and Pay" strategy.

Be accountable for implementing changes to the digital strategy as directed by the business.

Achieve digital audience growth in NSN and CODE Sports.
