The world-famous NT News is looking for a reporter, based in Alice Springs, to drive Central Australia content. You will be a motivated self-starter with strong digital knowledge who has more than 5 years' full-time journalism experience.

What’s the role?

Sourcing and creating compelling content that is consumer relevant across digital and print platforms
Connect with existing and new readers across multiple platforms
Work under deadline pressure in a fast paced environment
Deliver unique content, drive conversation and engage our readers
Drive subscription growth and monitor click through rates
Generate cracking content around court, crime, business, politics and general news topics and have the initiative to search for stories that are not already breaking

Who are you?

Experienced journalist, ideally across digital platforms
Strong interview skills and news judgement
Previous reporting and newsroom experience
Experience writing quality content to tight deadlines
Able to produce engaging and snappy copy
Solid digital and social media experience
You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics
