The Sports Presenter/Reporter will be responsible for presenting bulletins on FOX SPORTS News and Sports bulletins on Sky News. You will be anchoring sports news coverage during on-air hours and contributing to producing content while off-air. There will also be a requirement to report in the field.
Your role is to report and present on FOX SPORTS News in a manner that engages the viewer. You will be the public face of our content, but also play a key role behind-the-scenes in contributing to decisions about coverage and look.
Key responsibilities:
Present news bulletins and programming on FOX SPORTS News, in addition to FOX SPORTS News updates for Sky News.
Conduct live on-air interviews with reporters and guests
Research and prepare for on-air segments
Effectively communicate with studio crew and producers
Report in the field (at times as a Video Journalist)
Pitch original news ideas and coverage treatments
Write and edit content for on-air use
Build and produce live bulletins
Ability to report on location day to day and at major breaking events
Who are you?
Experienced in a live-on air setting, including reading bulletins, handling live on-air news events and breaking news
Strong passion for sport
Strong general knowledge of a variety of sports is essential
Minimum three years’ presenting experience
Conduct engaging on-air interviews
Ability to research information and develop understanding of a vary array of sports and relevant issues
Ability to write and edit news content
Effective communication skills
Sound news judgement and wide knowledge of Australian and International Sports
Quantel and ENPS experience preferred
