We’re looking for an experienced video journalist in Adelaide with a flair for creativity and the ability to film, edit and amplify visual content.

In this hands-on role, you will be pitching video ideas daily for multiple platforms, and executing and editing them while collaborating with the wider newsroom where you will be covering multiple genres including news, lifestyle, entertainment and sport.

This role includes rotating weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Pitch, research, report and script news videos and packages

Manage video production from ideation to post-production and ensure timely delivery under tight deadlines.

Have a great eye for creative ways to tell stories in keeping with the latest off-platform video trends.

Collaborate with colleagues across the newsroom and the wider company to identify opportunities to produce audience-first videos across multiple platforms.

Ensure that all journalistic and legal standards are followed

Who are you?

You have at least two years’ experience as a creative storyteller and have previously worked as a video producer.

You have a strong understanding of social video platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, and are highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.

You are a great team player, who will support your teammates and ‘jump in’ to get things done.

You will introduce new and innovative ways to increase our social media footprint.

You are vibrant, energised and ready to engage across the organisation.

Strong communication and time management skills.
