Responsible for all radio and digital news/sports/feature information for WyoRadio And Wyo4News.

Job Scope:
Lead and manage the planning, production and presentation of news and sports.
Give work direction to news/sports staff.
Update the website daily; update various social media accounts daily, i.e., Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Gather news/sorts information for on-air and website and social media delivery.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is supervisory in nature.

Interpersonal Contacts:
Has both internal and external contacts.
The most common internal contacts are with co-workers, customers, vendors and supervisor.
The most frequent external contacts are with listening audience, co-workers, customers, radio guests and supervisor and internet readers/users.
Both types of interactions involve information exchange, good customer service and problem solving.
Maintain contacts with City and County officials and other business and community leaders.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Radio Area news/weather/sports gathering writing, reporting and recording.
Monitor other local and statewide news sources for story ideas and delegate to staff.
Interview newsmakers and edit for on-air presentation.

Wyo4News Give work direction to Wyo4News employees.
Area news/weather/sports gathering and writing
Delegate local, statewide and national news stories for writing/reporting to Wyo4News staff.
Daily update to company website of current events, schedules and news items.
Create logos and design graphics upon request.
Monitor website and Social Media for inappropriate interactions and take action to reverse.
Monitor and review programming/published stories for suitability in order to assess the need for changes, using information such as audience surveys and feedback.
Daily upload and schedule stories and features on website and Social Media Accounts such as Face Book, Twitter (X), Instagram, Snapchat, Pheed, Pinterest and Google and give assignments.
Monitor company analytics for use in income generation.
Present ideas for news stories and features to management and communicate openly with management regarding successes and potential problems for Wyo4News.
Produce photos and news videos and publish or post.
Monitor other local and statewide news sources for story ideas.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and studios are kept clean.
Other duties as assigned.

Other physical or mental requirements of the position that have not been addressed:
Flexibility to adjust to sudden and frequent changes due to unpredictability of news events.
Must have reliable transportation.
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s in Journalism, Marketing or related field required.
Proven supervisory experience required. 3-5 years’ experience in on-air presentation or digital media preferred.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; including: Photoshop, Light room, In-Design and Dreamworks.
Knowledge of Adobe Audition preferred. Experience in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Office Suite preferred.
