This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most knowledgeable and passionate technology brands at Future. Android Central is looking for an ambitious News Editor who loves all things phones, tablets, and wearable devices to join its team.

What you'll be doing…

As News Editor at Android Central, you'll be responsible for writing, delegating, optimizing, and uploading Android articles every day. You’ll work with the Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief to fulfill the needs of the site, using your knowledge of phones, tablets, wearables, and other Android tech to lead our news coverage on a daily basis and help inform our editorial direction. You'll stay up to date with the latest happenings as they relate to Google, Android, and other topics covered by Android Central, writing or assigning articles to be written in a timely manner.

You'll utilize various feeds and news channels to stay up to date with the latest developments in tech, upload articles to the CMS, following Android Central's best practices and finding appropriate images and related articles to link to, interview and work with experts in the tech industry to make sure our features and news are informed by qualified experts to provide trustworthy commentary on the biggest stories and review products and give advice to our readers about whether or not they should buy them.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

Excellent written English and a strong knowledge of writing for the web.
Knowledge of Associated Press style.
Great knowledge of tech topics, an ability to research and learn, and previous experience in writing about the subject matter.
The ability to work within a fast-paced news environment and juggle multiple assignments.
Have ideas for what makes a great review, opinion feature, or How-to guide on Android Central.

Please note, the salary range for this position is $44,000 - $45,000.
