News Researcher & Writer - Mandarin Speaker

Mintec, the world-leading soft commodities and food raw materials price analytics company, is seeking a news researcher/reporter to join its expanding European Editorial Team within the Mintec Commodity Insight Team. Delivering premium news, analysis, data, pricing, insight and more, this role is a chance to join a team which places users at the centre of everything we do.

We are recruiting a news researcher/writer with good professional knowledge of English and Mandarin is a must to initially work on our animal nutrition industry news service, Feedinfo. The platform is a subscription news and information service, with deeply engaged global audiences who appreciate the depth and range of content we provide. The role will likely evolve beyond the animal nutrition sector to cover the wider animal protein markets.

Are you someone with journalism experience and research/information monitoring background who would enjoy finding the latest global news and ensuring your audience knows about it?

This is an English-writing, English-speaking role. However, a good command of the Mandarin, both written and spoken, is also required.

As a researcher you will be responsible for updating the website with relevant news content, producing our daily emails for Feedinfo, as well as taking a key role in monitoring current information sources, researching future content, and optimising data/statistics.
As a writer, you will write short news, in-depth analysis articles on sector trends, as well as full feature interviews.

You will be highly organised, with a meticulous eye for detail, and able to ensure our subscribers gain maximum value from our products. Our editorial team has a reputation for producing high quality content which our readers depend upon, whether pricing reports, market moving news or in-depth analysis. You will be keen to work as part of the team, and able to put your resourcefulness to work.

The role may require occasional travelling, notably to our offices in London/Toulouse, France, so you will ideally be based in one of these locations.
