Deputy News Editor

The East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star are the leading sources of local news in Suffolk through our much-loved newspapers, websites, e-editions and social media channels. Our specialist reporting team has a rare opening for a deputy news editor to help shape the content to attract readers who are willing to pay for our stories via our news app.  It is an exciting opportunity to work on the newsdesk, learn new skills, understand what a reader really wants to read by learning from our unique data and insights team and help to coach and support our journalists to produce the right content. If you like the idea of a new adventure and going on a journey with us, then you may be right for this role. This role is 37.5 hours per week, based in our Ipswich office.
