The US news editor will have extensive experience covering all aspects of US news and politics in a fast-paced newsroom.

Reporting to the executive editor, they will be a digital native aware of the latest American internet trends and conversations. The candidate will have in-depth experience of responding to both breaking news for our US readers and will be expected to spearhead Newsweek’s daily news coverage. They will show sound editorial judgment and a comprehensive understanding of media law.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality coverage that is accurate, fair, and conforms to accepted standards of journalism.
