Requirements:
7 years newsroom experience
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills
Familiar with AP Stylebook
Great attitude and knows how to have some fun
Duties:
Assists with planning, staffing, training, and performance evaluations for the News Department
In charge of reporters including scheduling
Reporter development
Morning story meeting
Serves as the News Director in my absence
On-call rotation on weekends
EP duties on special projects (i.e. elections, debates, etc…)
