KSNF/KODE - seeks a creative show producer for its weekday lifestyle talk show program, Living Well.

The Producer oversees the overall execution of our local lifestyle programming, which includes both sponsored and creative content, for broadcast, and for the station’s social media assets and website.

Successful candidates must have excellent time-management and organization skills. Good written and oral communication skills are also necessary to maintain an efficient, effective production.

Show Producers must be able to manage multiple production projects, communicate well with multiple departments (News, Sales, Programming, Creative Services) and be able to make quick and sound editorial decisions including:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Deciding which segments, guests and stories are of most interest to our audience, both broadcast and digital consumers.
Prioritize guest segments, stories and show development efforts.
Help determine and supervise the order in which segments and guests will appear.
Ability to quickly adjust show segments and guests when someone fails to show up or if there is a mix up.
Communicate best practices effectively and professionally with the show’s team.
Assist in the supervision of the show’s digital content pages.
Write, and coach how to write, compelling teases to bring viewers to our broadcasts.
Time broadcasts and insure they are clean and correct on the air.
Edit video for broadcast as well as online use when needed.
Work well with show talent, sales team members, businesses, and the public.
Communicate effectively in person, via email, and phone.
Work with the News Director and Creative Services on the look of the show, including graphics, promos, design, colors, opens, bumps, and set design.
Source, pitch and set up on-location shoots, and book new content and guests daily.

Requirements & Skills:

Prefer bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
At least two years of experience producing broadcast news.
Fluency in English with strong spelling and grammar.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with both coworkers and the public.
Proficiency with computers, tablets, and mobile digital devices, social media savvy.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Schedule flexibility – live shots, parades, pre-recording segments, and travel.
