Reporter I, MultiMedia Journalist

WATE, the ABC Affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee is looking for a Reporter/MMJ to join our dynamic team. You must be creative, energetic, and adaptable. This person will also be a strong storyteller with excellent shooting and editing skills. The successful candidate will be asked to work solo on stories and will be a major part of the station’s online success by posting timely updates, stories, and other content on our digital platforms.
Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily
Demonstrate compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots, graphics, and stand-ups
Shoot, write and edit news stories
Stay on top of current events and issues that impact the East Tennessee community
Be flexible on schedule
Responds to breaking news and other urgent newsrooms situations as required.
Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
Social Media Savvy: Interacts with viewers/users on social media sites.
