The candidate needs to love High School sports, ACC sports, and NASCAR. The FOX8 Sports team is highly motivated and productive during the year. We produce several sports specials and weekly sports shows for our CTV streaming app .If you’re willing to be a reporter, producer, editor, and anchor, sometimes all on the same day, we want you to join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities

Write, edit, and anchor weekends sports
Fill-in anchor during the week when necessary
Research and pitch sports packages you will shoot, write, edit
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Responds to breaking sports events and other urgent newsrooms situations as required
Must be willing to work more than 40 hours a week

Requirements & Skills:

2 years television sports reporting or anchoring experience
A good attitude and good teammate with other members of the FOX8 sports department
Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism
Comprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Flexibility to work any shift

Employee’s duties and responsibilities are not limited by the above. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by employee’s supervisor.
