Reporter (Part-Time)

Over the past 220 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

The New York Post is seeking a Part Time Reporter (6pm- 2am) who can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Deliver fast, accurate information from the field: including but not limited to crime scenes, fires, and press conferences
Ability to juggle multiple news assignments
Land exclusive stories
Experience with SEO, think digital first

Qualifications

At least 3 years experience at a fast-paced newspaper or other digital media outlet
The successful applicant should be curious and self-sufficient, pay attention to detail, and have superlative standards of personal excellence
Savvy in social media newsgathering
Car required as well as near-cartographical knowledge of the five boroughs
Conversational knowledge of a foreign language is helpful
Flexibility in schedule – including weekend and overnights

Salary Range: $15/hour – $125,000
