Reporter, Style (Part-Time)

The New York Post delivers the best in News, Sports, Entertainment and Pop Culture with wit, irreverence and authority. Over the past 220 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

The New York Post is seeking a knowledgeable Part-Time Reporter, Style to join the Page Six digital team.

Candidates are expected to:

• Pitch and write several celebrity fashion and/or beauty stories daily
• Have your finger on the pulse of what fans are talking about in the world of celebrity style and the ability to create content that fits their interests
• Be a self-starter and work quickly and efficiently on a small but nimble team
• Have an understanding of SEO best practices and analytics and use that knowledge to help guide coverage
• Work up to 14 hours per week, including occasional awards shows on weekends

Qualifications:

• At least two years of major journalism experience (an established network of contacts is a plus)
• Experience working in a fast-paced newsroom and in breaking-news situations
• A deep understanding of and passion for all things celebrity fashion and beauty
• Exceptional writing and reporting skills
• Ability to write succinct, eye-catching headlines and clean, ready-to-publish content
• Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices
• Strong editorial judgment and communication skills
• Familiarity with content management systems, photo editing software and web analytics tools

Salary Range: $15/hour – $125,000
