Copy Editor

The Observer-Reporter, a 15,000-circulation daily newspaper in Southwestern Pennsylvania, is looking for a copy editor who is a motivated team player and quick thinker to join our fast-paced, award-winning copy desk.

Job duties include editing local and wire copy, writing headlines and captions, and designing and laying out pages at the direction of the night editor.

A bachelor’s degree is required, and experience in newspaper reporting, editing and page design is preferred. InDesign experience also preferred.

This is a full-time night position, including some weekends and holidays. Remote and hybrid work is possible. Comprehensive benefit package. No phone calls, please.
