Celebrity news and entertainment leaders InTouch and Life & Style are looking for writers to join our digital team. This is a fun, flexible and fast-paced environment, where we love covering pop culture and breaking major celebrity news 24/7. We are looking for proactive and talented digital writers, in either New York City or Los Angeles, to produce both timely news-based content as well as evergreen articles centered around specific beats.

Responsibilities

Pitch daily and weekly ideas to internal editorial team
Work with the reporting team and senior staff to break news
Write 8-10 original and compelling articles per day and upload them to the CMS
Maintain consistency and clarity, aligning with Life & Style and InTouch’s editorial voice

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or Communications
2 – 5 years of proven experience as a writer in the celebrity entertainment space
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a knack for research and an eye for detail
Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques
Proficiency with WordPress
Creative thinking and the ability to generate new and unique content ideas
Flexibility to assist for big awards shows
in the evenings if needed
Experience with Chartbeat and Google Trends
Passion for pop culture and celebrity news a must

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
