Have you dreamed of being your own boss? Owning your own newspaper? This isn't for everyone but it might be for you! We're Battle Born Media, publishers of newspapers in Nevada since 2011. We're looking for someone to purchase the Ely Times, a longstanding weekly newspaper in rural Nevada.

Ely is a town of about 5,000 people in east central Nevada about 220 miles north of Las Vegas. Ely is the gateway to the Great Basin National Park, a longtime mining town and a great place to raise a family. The Ely Times is an instituion, having been published for more than 100 years, and is in need of a hands on operator who can quickly become a big part of the community.

Yes, newspapers are struggling but for the right person this really could be a great opportunity. The Times is legally adjudicated with a base of legal ads each week. There is good commerce in town and lots of advertising possibilities available.

The ideal candidate to buy the paper would be someone who wants to run a one person operation and become a major player in a nice, friendly town. Costs are low, and there is good potential to make a nice living as the owner of the town's newspaper.

Again, this isn't for everyone. The paper has serious upside potential but it will take a go getter to do it right. Please don't reply unless you have a serious interest in living the American dream in rural Nevada.
