Political Reporter

PennLive is looking for a reporter who is well versed in Pennsylvania politics to lead our coverage of this year’s elections. We want someone who can go beyond the horse race aspect of the elections to tell us what’s driving voters’ decisions. How much of a role will the controversy over the 2020 election factor into the 2022 races? Is Pennsylvania getting redder, bluer or just more deeply divided? Where do the money trails lead? The ideal candidate will not only need to know the state’s political landscape, but also have a feel for what topics interest the voters, aka our readers. In the offseason, this reporter would be able to pivot to focus on investigative stories, ideally tied to politics and governance.
