The Writer-Reporter for the TV vertical at PEOPLE will work across both print and digital platforms. They will be responsible for pitching, reporting and writing print and digital stories and contributing to breaking news stories. The TV team at PEOPLE is the largest vertical at the brand in terms of traffic on the site and overall volume of features and interviews in the print magazine.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has solid writing skills and discerning news judgement. Candidates should also have experience writing for a celebrity or entertainment media brand and show a marked passion for television and celebrity news. The Writer-Reporter must be capable of handling sit-down interviews with high-profile talent; writing and reporting out breaking news; covering anything from red-carpet events to TV show tapings to celebrity court cases; and tapping and expanding sources in the entertainment world. Candidates will be expected to work occasional nights and weekends to write show recaps and cover awards shows, red carpets and events.
