Summary
The Payor Copywriter is responsible for the generation of copy for assigned brand. Ensure adherence to client’s marketing strategies and objectives, meeting deadlines on client projects, and working with an art director to generate concepts.
Responsibilities
Writes engaging, relevant, original copy across channels and mediums for payer audiences
Defends strengths of concepts while remaining open to alternatives and further explorations
Analyzes and interprets data from clinical studies, presentations, and published papers, summarizes key points, and turns them into promotional messages that tie to product key selling messages
Logically organizes material from a range of different sources to make a compelling narrative/story flow
Contributes to generation of effective promotional materials to be used by the field force in personal selling
Has full mastery over writing craft with a clear persuasive voice and uses skills to fulfill a variety of tactics
Performs independent research and works with a variety of resources and literature to develop a range of promotional and informational pieces for professional and patient caregiver audiences
Participates with creative team and product team to develop multiple concepts/campaigns for assigned products/projects
Helps to build and maintain reference library relating to assigned clients
Prepares materials for med-legal submission
Works with cross functional teammates to ensure that created content, messaging, and ideas achieve the client's objectives
Monitors the progress of assigned projects through each phase of development, i.e., layout, production, media, and research
Participates in client-agency meetings, when appropriate
Ensures brand-specific style is consistent throughout jobs
Contributes to generation of effective promotional materials to be used by the field force in personal selling
Develops understanding of audience needs (e.g., physicians, patients, sales reps) and targets copy and changes voices to appropriately meet them
Develop medical knowledge in therapeutic areas of primary accounts
Qualifications And Experience
Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading and grammar skills
3+ years of experience with a pharmaceutical advertising agency experience or in a managed markets/payor/managed care focused company
Managed Markets experience is Highly Desired
HCP and patient experience and patient support program experience is a plus
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
Ability to think both creatively and strategically
High-level interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
