The Philadelphia Business Journal is looking for a hospitality and tourism reporter to join our newsroom and cover some of the region's most important — and dynamic — industries. Philadelphia's restaurant scene continues to explode, garnering worldwide acclaim for its eclectic scope of food and ever-growing roster of James Beard Award-winning chefs. From the Liberty Bell to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the region's rich history helps fuel a robust tourism industry. The reporter will also take the lead on coverage surrounding World Cup games coming to Philadelphia in 2026 as well as the region's plans to celebrate the 250-year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Our reporters must be competitive, nimble and driven to break news about the most important industries, companies and people in the region. They are expected to provide forward-looking business intelligence to savvy readers who will use it to grow their businesses and/or advance their careers. Our content gives them a leg up on their competitors, connects them with decision-makers and delineates growth strategies that work from those that don't. This usually entails working our source networks and digging up news before it's announced or readily available.
