Job Description
Location: New York, NY
Pitchfork seeks an Editorial Fellow to join us for six months. This is a full-time, temporary position best suited to someone with some background in journalism and a deep love of music who is interested in learning the ropes of working at a digital publication. You will be given the opportunity to work with our editors on your own writing.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with research and fact-checking
Assisting with web production
Assisting with art and photo research
Contributing to additional editorial projects as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
One year of experience in journalism preferred (professional, student publication, personal blog, or freelance writing) preferred
Research and fact-checking abilities beyond a basic Google/Wikipedia search
Experience learning a new CMS is a plus
Ability to work out of our New York City office
Ability to work both independently and alongside a team
Strong familiarity with Pitchfork
Highly organized
Hourly rate: $25
