POLITICO is looking for an ambitious, versatile reporter to cover California energy, climate and transportation policy in our Sacramento bureau. The reporter will break news and write high-impact enterprise stories for subscribers and a general audience of national and international readers, working with colleagues in California and across POLITICO’s newsroom. The reporter will cover the politics behind state energy and climate issues watched around the nation, including energy development, utilities and the electricity grid. The reporter will track key legislative developments while keeping an eye on the state’s influential energy and climate regulators. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and producing daily stories while pursuing strong enterprise pieces. This job is based in Sacramento.
