California Environmental Reporter, Sacramento

POLITICO is looking for an ambitious, versatile reporter to cover California’s environmental policies – and the politics behind them – as part of our dynamic Sacramento bureau. The reporter will break news and write high-impact enterprise stories for subscribers and a general audience of national and international readers. The reporter will cover environmental issues such as wildfires, drought and sea-level rise, as well as water policy, tracking key bills in the Legislature and keeping tabs on regulators. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and producing daily stories along with more deeply reported pieces. This job is based in Sacramento.
