Editorial Internship, California Summer 2023

POLITICO's California team is seeking an editorial intern for summer 2023. The intern — working both virtually and from our Sacramento office — will play a critical role in our coverage of politics and policy in the nation's largest state.
What You’ll Do:
Pitch, report and write stories of consequence, both for our audience of influential professionals in California and POLITICO's wider national readership.
Cover spot news in policy and politics in and around the state capitol.
Work with our California Playbook team to write and produce our daily newsletter on politics in the Golden State.
The intern will be involved in all aspects of content creation and production, including research, reporting, writing, editing and aggregating. A significant amount of this work will be in early morning hours.
